Living in the mountains in Colorado it is a normal lifestyle to be extremely active 90% of the time. If you’re not hiking at 6am, going to a 90 minute hot yoga class or catching first tracks on a powder you…well you don’t really fit in!  

 With 90/10 guy to girl ratio sometimes you feel yourself just blending in with the men. Afterall us girls are living in the mountains for the same reasons as them and since their are so few of us sometimes mountain girls just like to feel tough, strong, and overall badass!  

All this said spotting a new designer cocktail dress on a girlfriend or a pair of stylish boots was that much more fun in a small mountain town.  Christina and Julie have always stayed true to their fashionista style while fitting in at 9000 feet up.  I was SO excited to hear about their new business Tough Girl Tutu’s a couple days ago.  These mountain girls are inspiring athletic girls to have more fun and feel pretty while they are racing and training……..sound familiar!  Can’t wait to test one out.

As we still work our way through winter here on the east coast I like to take a little time out of each day to sneak on pinterest and peek at anything nautical I can lay my eyes on! It helps me very cheerful, warm and stylish!  I recently just added a “Beach Cruiser Happiness” board to the collection as well.  For those of you who know me best know that my sunflower covered bright yellow bike is my prize possession.
